THERMAL IMAGING

Do tenants and residents complain their homes are cold? Do they have damp or condensation issues? Are you improving your stock through wall/cavity insulation, roof insulation and new windows? If so, Adeni can provide Thermal Image Surveys and reports to identify the key areas for improvement and 'prove concept' in relation to damp and condensation issues.

As Thermal Imaging surveys are  non invasive, they are a powerful tool to undertake surveys and can be carried out quickly, the results analysed and reports produced without delay.

To demonstarte outcomes for compliance with Regulatory Requirements there is nothing better than a 'before' and 'after' thermal image to demonstrate the improvements made. Addiing this to a tenants satisfaction survey provides comprehensive evidence of a successful outcome.

What is a Thermal Image?

Definition: The Science of acquisition and analysis of thermal information from non contact thermal image devices.

So, What does this mean?

An infrared camera does not see temperatures, it records the intensity of radiation in the infrared area. This is radiation which is not visible to the human eye. The camera converts infrared radiation to a visible image.

Thermal Imaging of Residential Property:

Thermal imaging technology has become one of the most valuable diagnostic tools for building inspections. A thermal imaging camera can identify problems early, allowing them to be documented and corrected before becoming more serious and more costly to repair.

A building diagnostics inspection with a thermal imaging camera can help:

  • Visualise energy losses
  • Detect Missing or defective insulation
  • Show air leaks
  • Find moisture in insulation, in walls and roofs
  • Applies to internal and external structure
  • Locate thermal bridges
  • Locate water infiltration in flat roofs
  • Detects construction failures

Thermal Imaging cameras are the perfect tool for locating and identifying building failures because they make the invisible visible. On a thermal image, problems seem to jump right out at you. A thermal imaging camera is the one tool that really lets you SEE IT ALL.

One of our Directors is a qualified Thermographer who provides qualitative reports following a Thermal Imaging Survey.
